I will dominate 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the two fighters met personally to build hype for next month's bout.

Ex two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically known for his showmanship - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead criticized former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Success

However, the novice is still one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, consistently making huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the usual stare-down, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
