'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane dampens on Premier League comeback

Kane marks his century goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has stated that his desire in going back to the Premier League has diminished and he is open to negotiate a new agreement with Bayern Munich.

The star striker is currently midway through the four-year contract he agreed to when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the offseason of 2023.

The experienced forward has scored an outstanding 103 goals in 106 matches for the German side, playing a key role in them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which marked the initial important trophy of his notable career.

Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has recently mentioned that he would welcome to see Kane return to England, where he requires 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring record of 260.

However, the England skipper has now suggested that he is no longer as enthusiastic about going back home as he previously was, and would certainly consider prolonging his stay in Bavaria.

"In terms of staying longer, I could absolutely see that," he commented.

"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be open to talk and have an straightforward conversation.

"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so goes and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not considering about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have learned in my career is that different opportunities and different moments happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."

Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the all-time top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the quickest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five competitions, attaining the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a trophy had avoided him until he lifted the German title last season.

Kane admits that he was not sure how he would respond after breaking his trophy wait, but now believes it has made him eager for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.

"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.

"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
